Come on back tomorrow for more creativity.

Today's 2 cards were fun to make. I used up some old wrinkled up washi paper on the pink card.
I made a mistake and stamped the image onto a very slick 20lb laser copier paper. I thought it would be easy to color. It was terrible! I had a real mess. I was going to wipe off the Copic marker because the marker didn't soak into the paper. When I blotted it off with a paper towel I liked the effect! It looks like watercolors!

This card has a background that I made using the Paper Towel Batik technique. Here is a link to that tutorial on MFPSpeedyTV. (You have to join, but it's free!)

Today I used the winter tree from Tree Greetings and the small winter tree from Tree Selections to create the borders of this pond scene. The pond edge is from Mountain Selections. I colored in with markers.

Today the Paper Doll Formal Wear set is being featured. I made the card 6" x 4 3/4". This was done using 12 x12 scrapbook paper as the base. I attached the doll with a piece of velcro to the card so that the doll could be removed by the recipient.

Paper Doll Madness!

Not sure if you knew this, but:
Mark's Finest Papers is having a blog hop this week!
Get on over for your chance to win a free stamp set!

Today they are featuring the Paper Doll stamp set. I love it!

Here is my project:
This was a 12X12 piece of scrapbook paper.  I folded it in half  an then scored at 8". I folded it in and glued along the outside flaps to make pockets on each side. I added coin envelopes to hold the clothes.

Here are the dolls dressed. This is the SAME doll. I just changed the hair by cutting it shorter on the red head. The black haired doll has a bun. I did that by stamping the doll then drawing a bun on with a black marker. I shaped the hair with scissors. The dolls underwear coordinates with their clothes! You can mix and match them, too! Notice this is the same outfit colored 3 different ways?

Here you can see the dolls dressed for a business meeting.
